Description from the seller
T for Takashi Murakami — The Artphabet
Edition 1/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by the digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to key figures in contemporary art and visual culture.
In this piece, the letter T is transformed into a tribute to Takashi Murakami, reinterpreting his iconic Superflat universe, where art, pop culture and the kawaii aesthetic converge in an explosion of color and optimism.
Typography is built from an accumulation of smiling flowers, one of the artist's most recognizable motifs. Each element features vibrant, contrasting colors — pinks, yellows, blues, greens and reds — creating a cheerful, dynamic and visually immersive composition.
The repeated expressions, seemingly ingenuous, conceal a deeper reflection on contemporary culture, consumerism, and the duality between the superficial and the emotional. The repetition and saturation of forms reinforce the pop aesthetic and the influence of manga and anime on his work.
The three-dimensionality offers a new contemporary reading, translating Murakami's flat language to a digital sculptural environment where the elements gain volume, texture and physical presence, intensifying its visual impact.
The work has been created through a fully digital 3D process (CGI), modeled in an artisanal way with particular attention to color, repetition and composition, achieving a vibrant, precise and highly recognizable aesthetic.
The Artphabet has had wide international impact, being disseminated in numerous media of design, art and visual culture, establishing itself as one of the most outstanding projects of artistic typography within the recent digital realm.
Cess is an artist specializing in digital art, CGI and artificial intelligence, with an established track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue and MTV, among others.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée print on poly-cotton canvas, guaranteeing excellent color reproduction, detail and volume of the original digital piece.
