Work, part of the series: “Viento en popa…” where I combine abstract style with the composition of marine themes. A formal investigation that seeks atmospheres and compositions that allow me to blend gestural experimentation with realistic detail, discovering a more evocative and expansive pictorial experience.

About the artist.

Multimedia artist, sculptor, painter, photographer and video creator.
Graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte (Course 2002-2007)
He has held nearly twenty solo exhibitions — both in Cuba and abroad — and has participated in more than fifty group exhibitions in various parts of the world, as well as international video art festivals, as well as monumental sculpture symposia in China and Cuba.
He has been invited on two occasions to be part of the main curatorship of the Havana Biennial. Over his career he has received several awards and recognitions, among them the most important distinction that his hometown grants to a visual artist, the Fidelio Ponce de León distinction (2017).
He has given lectures in China, Buenos Aires and at several universities in the United States such as the School of Visual Arts in New York (SVA-NY), Carnegie Mellon University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Some of his works are already part of private and/or institutional collections in Cuba and abroad. He is part of the Ignacio Agramonte Museum collection, Camagüey, Cuba. Credicop bank collection, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sculpture collection in Changchun City Park, China. Sculpture collection in Guilin City Park, China. Public park sculpture, Alamar, Havana, Cuba. Public park sculpture Mario Aróstegui, Camagüey, Cuba. Monumental interactive sculpture in the Miramar Business Center in Havana.
