This work speaks about self-confidence and about the fact that you do not have to be perfect to shine. You simply have to remain present and trust yourself, even when everything around you feels restless, grey or tense.
I did not want the image to represent something specific, but rather to create the feeling of an anchor that persists.
For me, the vertical structure became a point of support within the chaos — a sign of presence that continues to exist and shine without losing its fragility.
The warm color becomes a form of life and courage. The desire to rise to the surface, to be different, and to continue being yourself even when the world around you tries to dissolve you into its own noise.
It is not a perfect form, nor separated from what surrounds it. It still carries traces, tension and imperfections, but that is exactly what makes it feel real. And alive.
Signed by the artist.
Next week, Cristina Talea will participate in MoBU – International Art Fair of Bucharest 2026, presenting recent works from the “Layers of Silence” series alongside established Romanian contemporary artists.
After a long experience in scenography, architecture, and interior design, the artist Cristina Talea returns to abstract painting and manual work as a form of authentic expression in a visual context dominated by digital imagery and artificially generated technologies. Her artistic practice is a conscious return to gesture, materiality, and real emotion.
Her professional experience in interior arrangements directly influences how abstract compositions are constructed, with bold colors and the balance of the works being thought out in relation to space, light, and architecture, aiming to enhance and harmonize the environment. Encouraged by the reactions of clients whose spaces have been complemented by her paintings, the artist embraces showcasing her works as a return to manually created art in the authentic sense of the word.
The work is an original abstract painting, manually crafted in acrylic on canvas, using professional-quality acrylic colors. It consists of two paintings, each measuring 40 x 40 cm, together forming a work with a maximum size of 40 x 80 cm. The size is balanced, neither aggressive nor too small, allowing the space to breathe and the work to be perceived as a unique object. These can be displayed together or separately, with each painting signed individually.
The works are sold with a wooden frame and are properly packaged.
The work is signed in the original, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is also signed and dated on the back of the piece.
It is advisable to analyze all images and detailed photographs; colors may vary slightly from the actual colors of the paintings depending on screen settings. Unique work.
The images in the presentation are montages and may vary in size to better illustrate the details of the painting. The actual dimensions are those stated in the description.
