This work is a Pictorial Assemblage. Assemblage in art is a three-dimensional artistic technique, comparable to sculpture, collage, etc., where everyday objects are used, combined with aesthetic or expressive purposes. Riera creates a new way of viewing this technique. Through the Assemblage "Tableau Jouet" from 1988 by Catalan artist Antoni Clavé, Riera reconstructs with a Trompe l’œil, on canvas, this real sculpture.
