Description from the seller
MONTE CERVINO
95 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas · 2026
Monte Cervino presents a mountain landscape dominated by a large rocky formation that rises powerfully above a serene lake. The composition is built from the contrast between the monumentality of the mountain and the stillness of the water, where the image is duplicated through a deep and almost symmetrical reflection.
The work stands out for an intense palette of blues, turquoises, blacks and oranges. Color does not function only as a description of the landscape, but as an expressive resource: the warm area of the mountain introduces visual tension and directs the gaze toward the center of the scene, while the cool tones amplify the sense of silence, distance and vastness.
The small figure located on the shore reinforces the scale of the landscape and adds a contemplative dimension. In front of the immensity of nature, the character appears as a minimal, almost suspended point, inviting observation of the surroundings from calmness and introspection.
PACKAGING AND AUTHENTICITY
The work is offered directly by Mar Legón, and includes a certificate signed by the artist. The painting (unframed) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure its proper conservation during transport. After payment confirmation, a maximum period of three business days is required to prepare the work before shipping. Delivery time varies by destination, with an estimated up to ten business days, depending on the shipping company chosen by the buyer
ABOUT THE ARTIST
The artist develops a pictorial practice focused on color, visual memory and formal simplification. Her works start from recognizable scenes — landscapes, interiors or figures — which are reinterpreted through a personal, direct and emotional perspective.
PROJECTION AND VALUE OF THE WORK
Monte Cervino is integrated within a line of work where the landscape becomes a chromatic and emotional experience. It is a unique piece, made entirely by hand, that stands out for its compositional balance, contemplative atmosphere and the visual strength of the contrast between nature, reflection and the human figure.
