Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Eth Moonshot" - Ethereum - 4/20
Often imitated, never equaled: the original Aurora, signed "Pope".
When speculation becomes a cosmic promise.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, the Original Fake Aurora, the Authentic Fake Aurora… Pope continues his ironic exploration of contemporary myths, between decentralized finance, digital culture, and a quasi-mystical projection toward new horizons of wealth.
"Aurora Eth Moonshot" distorts the Ethereum imagination to turn it into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic, almost liturgical object.
On the front face, the message is clear:
"Eth" for Ethereum, fixed as a generation symbol, immediately recognizable.
On the sides, the formula stands out, unambiguous:
"TO THE MOON".
A modern incantation.
A collective promise engraved in wood.
By day: a chromed, futuristic, almost clinical icon.
By night: a multicolored aurora borealis floods the space.
A radical contrast between blockchain technology and speculative belief.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with certificate of authenticity.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature on delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (static, fading transitions, simple transitions)
- Powered via USB cord with switch (supplied)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a visual arts practice since childhood, a meticulous attention to detail, and careful visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and amazed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name but a few.
Whether it’s a gift, a memory, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will surely find a favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for street art through street art and pop art (limited edition or not), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medications, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion industry (sports, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Mindful of this impact, Pope enjoys mischievously distorting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective is making every effort to ensure that all information needed to assess the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unwarranted claims will be entertained. Thank you for your understanding.
