Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a meticulous attention to detail and a careful visual exploration.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wonder-filled gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope primarily sources inspiration from the world around him but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether it’s for a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you’ll easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited edition or not), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug misuse, luxury and high-fashion brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion products (sport, sneakers…),
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys playfully subverting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman…), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot being sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos… After the sale, no unjustified complaints will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
