Description from the seller
Marco Valeri was born in Rome on September 23, 1951. Modern figurative artist, landscape painter, sculptor and draftsman. He is primarily oriented towards graphics with various expressive techniques. In oil painting he uses exclusively the spatula; the mark left with the impasto of the paint on the canvas is analogous to the expressiveness of charcoal or sanguine on paper. He has exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions, earning various recognitions. Several critics have written about him, including Anna Iozzino and Gioacchino Ruocco.
Work realized in 2005, oil on canvas, 70 × 50 cm. The painting depicts a suggestive Mediterranean urban corner with traditional architectures, terracotta roofs and flowering vegetation, executed with a tactile and dynamic spatula painting, characterized by vivid colors and strong chromatic contrasts.
The work presents a luminous composition rich in texture, with evident impasto processing that confers depth and movement to the scene. Signed by hand by the artist in the bottom right.
On the back there is an original guarantee certificate indicating the title, technique, year of execution and size of the work, as well as stamps and references of the author.
General conditions very good, without evident structural damage or visible restorations.
The work is sold with frame and ready to hang.
