Ring and two earrings set in blue turquoise, Zuni origin, three-piece lot from the USA dating to the mid-20th century, provenance from a gallery/antiquarian dealer, in excellent original condition.
Description from the seller
barely worn, original Zuni Indian jewelry from the Navajo reservation, consisting of a large ring with stamping and 2 earrings, both made of blue turquoise. This 'King's Manassa' ensemble from the mine of the same name in Conejos County, Colorado is now extremely rare and therefore highly sought after in jewelry making. The imprint "DKL" on the ring refers to the initials of the Navajo artist 'David K. Lister'. All in like-new condition.
No signs of wear. The special feature of the stones from the 'Manassa Mine' is the color palette of vivid sky blue and the matrix of golden, reddish-brown or black spots or net-like patterns, often traversed by silica. The silver clips at the lower part of the rings are a device for clipping on additional accessories such as feathers, which can be inserted and squeezed so they do not fall out. It is therefore not damage to the piece. The jewelry pieces have never been worn. They show no damage or restorations. The stones retain their natural coloration and the characteristics of their origin from the Manassa Mine in Colorado.
