This unique giclée features a human spine erected as the central axis of the composition, a bony arrow springing from cosmic darkness to reach the light — a vertiginous metaphor of human verticality and the spiritual quest.

The magic of the composition lies in this troubling metamorphosis where the skeleton becomes a aquatic creature. The spine, rendered with anatomical precision worthy of 19th-century medical plates — vertebrae carefully articulated, neural processes and transverse processes perfectly detailed — is endowed with diaphanous, silky fins that seem to beat in the stellar vacuum, transforming the spine into a kind of ancient, translucent koi carp. At the summit of this mystic column, a bright explosion bursts into the night, a divine halo or inner supernova, perhaps symbolizing illumination, the breath of life, or the exact moment when the soul leaves the body.
