Description from the seller
Description
A highly attractive Chinese porcelain plate from the late Kangxi period (early 18th century), decorated in the classic Imari palette with underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron red enamels.
The decoration extends across the entire surface of the plate, including the rim, creating a lively and continuous garden scene with flowering branches and birds, likely pheasants, among the foliage. The composition is dynamic and elegant, enhanced by the bright white porcelain body characteristic of fine Kangxi wares.
The reverse is simply decorated with two small motifs near the rim, a typical feature for plates of this type and period.
A charming and decorative early Qing example with strong visual appeal.
