The work detours pharmaceutical codes to transform nostalgia, entertainment and collective references into “emotional substances.”
Through this series, Popléa plays with our modern dependence on images, childhood heroes and popular symbols.
The characters change depending on the works, but the principle remains the same:
an encapsulated emotion, ready to be “prescribed.”
Between minimalist sculpture, luxury design and gentle critique of consumer society, HAPPY DRUG deliberately blurs the boundary between art, collectible object and fictitious pharmaceutical product.
Each piece acts as a mental capsule:
an instant memory, a dose of nostalgia, a visual injection of pop culture.
