Wayang golek (2) - mixed materials - 1900-1910

Two Antique Wajang Golek puppets. They come from the estate of a friend of mine who bequeathed them to me, he was born in the '40 in Indonesia and these belonged to his family before he was born.

The incomplete and less well preserved is probably from the 19th century, the complete and almost perfectly preserved is probably from the first years of last century.

One represents an Indonesian man in his attire (no stand included) and the other one is the head of a female puppet and what is left of the hands. These last puppet is mounted on a teak wood stand (included).

My friend kept these puppets as a memento of his origins, he was born in Surabaya.
