Biography of Jacob Everard 'Jaap' ter Haar

Hilversum 1922–1998 Laren

Landscapes and cityscapes were his favorite subjects. He was also inspired by events in his daily life in Hilversum and later in Blaricum. Due to the consciously naïve style the painter employs, he belongs to the group of Dutch naïve painters. Not only in the Netherlands but also certainly abroad, his work is praised. His exhibitions are located in Grasse, southern France; Carmel in California; New York on Curaçao and in Singapore.

The work is in good condition; the original standard frame (48.5x39) is plastic and, from very close up, shows small scratches.

Landschappen en stadsgezichten waren zijn favoriete onderwerpen.Ook werd hij geïnspireerd door gebeurtenissen in zijn dagelijkse leven in Hilversum en later in Blaricum.Door de bewust-naieve stijl die de schilder hanteert hoort hij tot de groep Hollandse naïeve schilders.Niet alleen in Nederland maar ook zeker in het buitenland wordt zijn werk geprezen.Zijn exposities bevinden zich  in Grasse zuid Frankrijk,Carmel in Californië,new york op Curaçao en in Singapore.

Het werk is in goede staat,de orginele standaard lijst (48,5x39) is van kunststof en bevat van zeer dichtbij kleine krasjes .
