XTC presents the sculpture Mc Caviar 19cm Cobalt Blue, a resin piece finished in cobalt blue with 24K gold leaf, hand-signed, edition 1/8 (2025), about 1 kg in weight and 19 cm high on a plexiglass base 10 x 15 cm and 15 mm thick, including a nacre caviar spoon and COA.
Description from the seller
Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist:
Grand cone of Mc Caviar Bleu cobalt and 24K gold with its mother-of-pearl spoon.
It stands 19 cm tall, weighs about 1 kg, on a plexiglass base 10 x 15 cm and 15 mm thick.
Designed and crafted in molded resin, clad in 24-carat gold leaf (everything that is gold is pure gold leaf, including the logo), painted cobalt blue, with a glossy varnish, and, of course, filled with caviar I made myself, with a mother-of-pearl caviar spoon.
This design will be produced in only 8 copies and 4 EA.
Probably the most iconic XTC work to date, in blue and gold, the original edition!
A reappropriation of a McDonald’s cone, a future luxurious dish in fast food form? Not impossible!
Signed and numbered on the bottom, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) included.
(the copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo)
Careful and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, part of the Pop Art movement, through the reappropriation of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and even Caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He is influenced, among others, by Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All possible flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
