This work fuses painting and object, transforming an immediate and recognizable image into a physical gesture suspended in time. The brush, embedded in the canvas, is not merely a tool but a living trace of the action, as if the mark had stopped exactly at the moment it was happening.

The smiling face, universal icon of lightness and communication, is reinterpreted through a broad and imperfect stroke, crossed by drips that undermine its apparent simplicity. The smile remains, but it becomes laden with ambiguity: between spontaneity and construction, between immediacy and something that escapes control.
