Description from the seller
The series “Utopian Architectures” builds an universe of impossible architectures where geometry ceases to be merely a structure and becomes visual thought. Through arches, planes, columns, and floating volumes, the compositions propose spaces that seem to inhabit a territory between model, memory, and abstraction. Each element maintains a delicate balance between stability and tension, as if the shapes existed suspended in a moment before movement or collapse.
Color plays a fundamental role in the series. The intensely saturated tones — electric pinks, deep blues, sunny yellows, and artificial greens — transform geometry into an emotional experience before a rational one. The light, clean and precise, casts elongated shadows that extend the structures beyond the pictorial plane itself, creating a sense of still time and a metaphysical space that evokes both certain Bauhaus and constructivist ideas and the silent atmosphere of Giorgio de Chirico.
More than representing real buildings, these works function as mental constructions. They are architectures without practical function, conceived from intuition and contemplation, where emptiness is as important as matter. In them, the spectator does not find a habitable physical place, but a symbolic space to project perception, balance, and inner experience. The series thus raises a reflection on the relationship between order and emotion, between geometric rationality and poetic sensitivity, placing abstraction as a way to imagine new possibilities of space and thought.
About MUMA:
MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a Generalist 3D Artist and Designer and an Art Historian, both trained at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. Their artistic practice focuses on the visual arts, with special interest in color, movement, and the dynamism of forms, as well as in environmental variations. Their work is conceived to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to the ideals of Impressionism, such as the relationship with nature, color, and changing environments. MUMA is connected to the professional world of digital and visual arts in Madrid, with participation in competitions.
About preparation, packaging, and shipping of the artwork:
The work is hand-signed by the artistic duo and comes with an authenticity certificate also signed by them. The canvas, rolled, is carefully packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube and will be shipped within three business days after purchase confirmation. The estimated delivery time will depend on the destination and the chosen shipping company.
