"Ascesa" is the first in a series of works. It consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters by a hollow portion. I consider this work a vindication of the Self over the perils of existence, but also a natural longing upwards. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of form toward the summit is characterized as an ensemble of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
