Michał Lenartowicz, Abstract Composition - XXL, an acrylic painting (2026) that is an original, hand-signed work in excellent condition, 110 by 160 cm (canvas 110 by 160), originating from Poland and sold directly by the artist, from contemporary abstraction (2020+) and shipped rolled due to its size.
Description from the seller
Michał Lenartowicz’s acrylic painting is a highly characteristic example of his contemporary abstraction – energetic, swirling, almost cosmic.
This particular piece stands out strongly with its radial, explosive composition – it resembles an explosion / burst / mandala / galaxy spiraling outward from the center. Intense shades of azure, ultramarine, and cobalt dominate, flowing into turquoise and whites, all set against a delicate, warm yellow-cream background. The contrast creates the powerful impression that the blue is exploding outward toward the viewer from the very heart of the canvas.
The artist loves to play with texture – you can see many layers here, splatters, brush drags, and in places almost palette-knife application of paint, which gives the surface a very dynamic, moving quality. This is not a calm, meditative mandala – it is rather pulsating, full of energy, slightly chaotic, and at the same time deeply hypnotic.
In Lenartowicz’s body of work two main directions frequently appear:
warm, golden, metallic “Golden Landscape / Golden Timeline” pieces,
and precisely these cold, blue-turquoise abstractions with a cosmic / energetic character.
This blue vortex fits perfectly into the second stream – many people associate it with water, sky, outer space, or simply with inner strength and an emotional outburst.
If someone enjoys expressive abstraction in the vein of contemporary lyrical painting (a bit like a blend of Gerhard Richter with a more ornamental, decorative twist), then Michał Lenartowicz’s works very often resonate deeply with exactly those viewers.
