Heavy silver cabaret, made by Robert Abercomby of London. He was active from 1731 to 1745.

Robert Abercomby specialized in making large silverware, mainly trays and cabarets.

The cabaret (tray on legs) is finely decorated with scroll and floral motifs. (Georgian style)

It bears the 1st quality mark, London city mark, the maker's mark RA and the date letter f for 1741.

In the center of the cabaret is engraved a family crest with three shields.

The cabaret is robustly and heavily made and in excellent condition.

Weight: 1148 grams. Diameter: 36 cm.

Zwaar zilveren cabaret, gemaakt door Robert Abercomby uit Londen. Hij was werkzaam van 1731 tot 1745.

Robert Abercomby was gespecialiseerd in het maken van groot zilver voornamelijk dienbladen en cabarets.

Het cabaret (dienblad op pootjes) is fraai gedecoreerd met krul- en bloemmotieven. (Georgian style)

Het is gekeurd met het 1e gehalte keur, stadskeur Londen, meesterteken RA en jaarletter f voor 1741.

Op het midden van het cabaret is een family wapen gegraveerd met drie wapenschilden.

Het cabaret is robuust en zwaar uitgevoerd en in prima conditie.
