Description from the seller
In this work I have fused acrylic, collage, pencil, and gold to create a visual tapestry that vibrates with energy and dynamism. Inspired by figurative art and pop art, I have explored symbolisms and forms, playing with color and texture, seeking to evoke strong emotions and convey deep messages about humanity and connection. Each element is a brushstroke of introspection, a call to reflect on our surroundings and relationships. This painting will bring a spark of life and conversation to any space. This work can be shipped starting June 18 for a work-related trip.
Maria Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that her vocation was art. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and earned a BFA in Painting from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Women and Society, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also figures in the collections of municipalities such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, and the Alicante Provincial Council…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also found in numerous private collections worldwide.
Her hardworking and enthusiastic demeanor has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers, and anyone who allows her to express everything she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create truly rich canvases both narratively and technically.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for added security.
