Carlo Trevisan, The Pool, an oil on canvas work in Pop Art style with a geometrical water scene and a central red swimsuit figure, dated 2026 and in excellent condition, sold with its white wooden frame, 33×33 cm overall (25×25 cm painting mounted with passepartout).
Description from the seller
The work adopts a striking geometric high-angle perspective (bird's-eye view), capturing a suspended moment and evoking the minimalist and pop art aesthetic of David Hockney. A figure (likely a swimmer) is captured at the exact moment of the dive, with the arms stretched out to the sides to form a straight line, perpendicular to the white diving board from which they have just sprung. They wear a red swimsuit that creates a focal point of contrast.
The scene is dominated by a large, intense, uniform blue square representing the pool water, bordered by a white edge. The rest of the space (the surrounding pavement) is rendered in a neutral gray-blue tone, on which the sharp, geometric shadow of the diving board is projected, suggesting the presence of direct and cutting sunlight.
An image of great visual impact that plays on the clarity of lines, the balance of geometric shapes, and the sense of calm and isolation typical of a summer day at the pool.
Oil painting on cotton canvas, dimensions 25 x 25 cm, mounted with a mat and a white wooden frame, dimensions 33 x 33 cm.
