Ballonfahrt von Gustav Price - 1836

With the authorization of high authorities, Gustav Price will have the honor of presenting here an aerostatic performance never before seen.

At the beginning of this show, several balloons rise to an extraordinary height, to such an extent that they finally disappear from the spectators’ sight.

There follows: the great aerial voyage of a giant, united with four balloons, which by its magnificent ascent will entertain the audience in a pleasant manner.

Munich, March 27, 1836.

A single-sheet print with a large (26 x 19 cm) and two smaller wood engravings depicting the balloons. Sheet size: 55 x 45 cm. The ascent took place at Wittelsbacher Platz. Gustav Price was actually a horse rider; the balloon flight seems to have been a new and not very lasting undertaking.
