Onta ware 小鹿焼
Onta is a small village deep in the mountains. Since the Edo period until the present, pottery has been made by hand without using machines. This technique is passed down one-on-one to successors while preserving traditional methods. It is pottery highly regarded by the British potter Bernard Leach and has become known overseas.
