This painting carries the calm and at the same time the strength of a vast, cold sea. The many layers of blue seem like water in constant motion – sometimes deep and dark, sometimes pierced by light, as if the sky and the waves mirror each other. White streaks appear like reflections on the surface, like brief moments of clarity between current and depth.

"Nordmeer" is a tale of vastness. Of the feeling of standing before a landscape that is bigger than oneself. It recalls quiet coasts, salty air, the monotone sound of the waves, and thoughts that slowly become calmer. At the same time there is something mysterious in this image – as if something hidden remains beneath the surface, something that cannot be fully grasped.

The abstract forms do not point in a fixed direction. Instead, they create space for one's own memories and feelings. Perhaps it is the memory of a journey, perhaps only an inner image of freedom and distance from everyday life. The strength of the work lies precisely in this: It does not exclude the viewer but slowly draws them in – into a quiet, deep, and almost meditative world of color and movement.

Biography:
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly furnished studio – a place where I can fully immerse myself in my colors, forms, and thoughts.
From childhood I was fascinated by the world of art. This enthusiasm has never let go of me – it accompanies me to this day and continually inspires me anew. On trips and while visiting numerous exhibitions in Europe I was able to collect many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred form of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my works I mainly deal with feelings, inner states, landscapes, and fantasy worlds. It is about making visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods, and interspaces that are often only expressed in color and movement.
I paint out of passion. It is for me an intuitive process in which authenticity and depth are central. Each work is a piece of myself – an impulse, a memory, a look inward and outward at the same time.

For a painting measuring 160 x 130 cm you need a cradle frame of the size 150 x 120 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.

You can either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an art craftsman or gallery owner.

This is a handmade original, which is signed by the artist on the back and dated.

High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints have been used on multiple white-primed gallery canvases.

Additionally, a varnish was applied to protect the work.
