Description from the seller
ca. 1970s.
in beautiful condition for its vintage.
Comes with original carry strap and keys.
Weight: 3kg approx.
Dimensions: 31cm x 35cm x 15cm
Crafted in the late 1970s, the Jeep-Case quickly became popular among professional photographers thanks to its durable exterior and an interior featuring a custom insulated insert (see RIMOWA's Instagram for more information.)
Developed in Germany in the late 1970s, the Jeep-Case was one of several successful professional camera case designs engineered by RIMOWA following the launch of the brand’s first waterproof case, the Tropicana, in 1976. Characterized by its distinctly safari-like style, the body was made up of composite material made of nylon and plywood reinforced covered in tear-proof fabric with an aluminium frame and reinforced corners emblematic of RIMOWA luggage. Inside, a custom insert especially developed for photography equipment and 10-20 mm of polystyrene insulation guaranteed a professional’s equipment was protected from the elements at all times while in transit.
Please see photos for signs of usage marks and imperfections that are natural for the age of the product.
