The Montecristi Panama hat originates from an extremely precious material, sourced from the city of Montecristi, in the Manabí province, in Ecuador. This very fine, elastic and lustrous straw is derived from the leaves of the Carludovica Palmata palm. The selection of the best fibers and the hand-weaving of a single hat can take several months of work. The model is distinguished by its classic colonial shape, designed to be rollable and to enhance the natural elasticity of Panama.
