Octomore Futures is an early, limited pre-release/special bottling of Octomore, produced before the now well-known numbered Octomore series became a regular release. This makes this bottling particularly interesting for collectors and enthusiasts of early Octomore releases.
This whisky was distilled on 16 October 2002 and bottled in April 2008. It was matured in a Bourbon cask, cask type: Buffalo Trace. The alcohol strength is 46% vol.
Bottle number: 8353.
Octomore is known for its extremely heavily peated Islay whiskies and is among the sought-after collector bottlings from Bruichladdich. Early Octomore Futures releases hold a special place, as they belong to the first generation of these exceptionally heavily peated whiskies.
