Description from the seller
Beautiful work by artist Francesco Fedeli (1911 Milan–Varese 1998). From the age of 15, he began attending in Gallarate the studio of masters Pasquale Bossi and Mario Borghi. He studied with Umberto Lilloni, and he participated in the Russian Campaign as a war correspondent; he took part in countless solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and, in particular, he curated the Painting Consultancy for Franco Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth. The piece is part of my personal collection; the photos do not fully express its beauty, as the back shows the related reflections. In excellent condition, painted in 1971, signed, measuring 49x66 cm and on panel. It can be shipped with its period frame as in the photo for a size of 83x66 cm, and optionally also with glass, with all the risks involved, even with professional packaging. The work was purchased at a famous auction house as shown in the attached photo.
