Calvo, The U-Pattern Theory, a mixed media acrylic and felt-tip on canvas, 100 x 87 cm, 2026, original edition, signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, in excellent condition and produced in Italy, shipped rolled in a tube.
Description from the seller
Artist: Calvo
Technique: Mixed technique on canvas (acrylic paints and felt-tip markers)
Dimensions: 100 x 87 cm shipped rolled inside a tube
Details: Signed by the artist; accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity
The artwork is a contemporary abstract painting characterized by strong visual energy and a geometric, rhythmic approach. The composition unfolds through a grid of horizontal rows composed of modules in the shape of inverted "U" (or squared arches), repeated in a quasi-hypnotic but deliberately imperfect way, which gives the piece the warmth typical of handmade work.
Color Palette: Dominated by a vibrant yellow background with golden and ochre veins, the work plays with contrast with overlapped rows in bright tones: electric blue, fluorescent pink, emerald green, primary red and white.
Structure and Rhythm: The repetition of the modules creates a syncopated rhythm reminiscent of barcodes, ethnic textile patterns, or digital frequencies, oscillating constantly between geometric order and gestural spontaneity.
Visual Impact: It is a sunny, dynamic, and highly decorative work, capable of captivating attention within any minimalist or modern space.
