Pablo Picasso – 75 years since Picasso's arrival in Cadaqués – Original commemorative poster (1985)
Original poster edited for the commemorative celebration of the 75th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's arrival in Cadaqués, held on September 21, 22, 23 and 24, 1985.
The composition features a portrait of Picasso integrated into a background inspired by his cubist language, with photographic montage by Martí Català. The poster was published under the sponsorship of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Provincial Council of Girona, and the Town Hall of Cadaqués.
This is a very attractive piece for collectors of Picasso, of 20th-century Catalan art, and of cultural and institutional posters from the eighties.
Conservation status:
Very good overall condition. Colors well preserved and paper with excellent visual presence. It shows only minor signs of conservation and storage consistent with the piece's age, visible in the photographs.
