Antique Vesta turtle-shell inkwell in English Victorian silver made in England in 1882.
The inkwell lid is made of lucite or similar material that imitates a turtle shell.
It bears several hallmarks for silver on every part. See the photographs of the hallmarks.
The date hallmark is the letter G and the designer's mark is T.J. (T. Johnson).

The item is intact in every part with slight signs of wear.
I purchased it a few decades ago in an antique shop in Italy.

 Il coperchio del calamaio è realizzato con materiale lucite o similare che imita il guscio di tartaruga.
 Presenta diversi punzoni  per l’argento in ogni sua parte. Vedere le fotografie dei punzoni.
 Il punzone  della data è la lettera G e il marchio del designer è T.J. (T. Johnson)

L’ho acquistato qualche decina di anni fa in un negozio di antiquariato in Italia.
