Description from the seller
F for Frida — The Artphabet
Edition 2/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to key figures in art and visual culture.
In this piece, the letter F becomes a tribute to Frida Kahlo, reinterpreting her intimate, symbolic universe and deeply linked to nature and identity. The typography becomes an organic space where vegetation blossoms abundantly, evoking the natural settings present in many of her works.
The interior of the letter is composed of dense leaves and delicate pink-toned flowers, creating a living and emotional atmosphere. These plant elements not only decorate, but build a visual narrative related to fertility, growth, and introspection, recurring themes in Kahlo's imaginary.
The presence of a perched bird introduces a nuance of serenity and connection with the natural, while the skull decorated at the base directly references Mexican iconography of Día de los Muertos, symbol of life, death and memory, deeply rooted in the culture that shaped the artist's work.
The contrast between the geometric structure of the letter and the organicity of the interior elements reinforces the duality between what is built and what is emotional, the external and the internal, a constant in Frida Kahlo's visual narrative.
The work has been created through a completely digital 3D process (CGI), modeled in an artisanal way with special attention to botanical detail, composition and lighting, achieving a rich, immersive and highly symbolic aesthetic.
The Artphabet has had wide international repercussion, being disseminated in numerous design, art and visual culture media, establishing itself as one of the most outstanding art typography projects in the recent digital realm.
Cess is an artist specializing in digital art, CGI and artificial intelligence, with an established track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue and MTV, among others.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée print on poly/cotton canvas, guaranteeing an excellent reproduction of the detail, color and depth of the original digital.
