SKE, Eyes on the Stars - Omega Speedmaster, an aluminium wall clock (35 × 35 cm, 5 cm deep), edition 08/30, signed by hand, dated 2025, made in France, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
- Artwork "Eyes on the Stars" Omega Speedmaster"
- Number 08/30
- Artwork signed/numbered by the artist SKE, delivered with certificate of authenticity.
- Description: Clock in metal and glass, perfectly functional, ultra-silent mechanism. Wall mount.
- A centerpiece of Pop Art and contemporary Street Art, "Eyes on the Stars" is a wall clock (Ø 35 cm) that pays vibrant and ironic homage to the iconic Omega Speedmaster Professional, nicknamed the "Moonwatch". The artist SKE reinterprets this symbol of horological precision and space conquest by incorporating the cult character of pop culture, Snoopy, credited with NASA’s Silver Snoopy Award.
By associating the world of comics (Peanuts) with the luxury and adventure aesthetic, SKE questions the notions of time, dream, and icon. Each copy is numbered and certified, making this work a very limited edition of 30 pieces. It embodies the perfect fusion of Street Art that adopts design codes to create a new classic.
Artistic Style:
The work sits at the crossroads of Pop Art (through the use of an iconic comic character) and Street Art (through its graphic treatment and its aim to transform a classic luxury object into an accessible, decorative item). It fits into the trend of artists who revisit luxury brands and cultural icons.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who grew up in 80s/90s culture, inspiring most of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of Pop Art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Breakthrough of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he has also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited at major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his position on the contemporary art scene. Simultaneously, SKE is also making his mark in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textured surfaces define a style that has become essential.
SKE is unquestionably an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Esteemed & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work follows a prestigious lineage. His technique echoes the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they reinterpret classics, not hesitating to détourne (distort/detour) Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to face a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and superheroes is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superhero stable. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also includes automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textures that evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
