In this explosive scene, SKE twists two popular icons: Lucky Luke and the balloon girl. But here, the cowboy doesn’t shoot faster than his shadow… he shoots at a symbol.
The balloon, image of dream and innocence, bursts in mid-flight. Not to destroy, but to reveal. Like an invitation to step out of the illusions imposed by a world saturated with codes, brands and false desires.
The work captures the energy of street art to deliver a simple message: sometimes you have to blow up the dream… to create a real one.
A piece that is direct, visual and impactful, faithful to SKE’s universe: playing with symbols to turn them around.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and a jack-of-all-trades who grew up amid the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring many of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as the "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the market for digital artworks, a major trend of the past two years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations among collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style that has become essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Renowned & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His linework shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to divert the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is pervasive: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the style of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes evokes Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter the sneaker universe (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also taps into automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes recall the glossy surface of a Jeff Koons or the facets of a Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your space.
