Beautiful impressionist painting of a hatter. 
Bought by the previous owner directly from the painter's estate. At the time bought from his granddaughter in Arnhem.

Nice pastel colors. The painter's style is very recognizable.
A museum piece!

La Rivière stretched his canvases without a stretcher. The canvas offers around the scene enough space to fit it onto a new stretcher.

Gekocht door de vorige eigenaar rechtstreeks uit de nalatenschap van de schilder. Destijds gekocht van zijn kleindochter uit Arnhem.

Mooie pastelkleuren. De stijl van de schilder is heel herkenbaar.
Een museumstuk !

La Rivière sloeg zijn doeken op zonder spieraam. Het doek biedt rondom de voorstelling voldoende ruimte om 'm op een nieuw spieraam te zetten.
