Description from the seller
Leaf Barn Owl — Twilight
The Magic of Twilight Transits Across Matter
With the work "Twilight", Federico Alibrio signs a splendid sculpture that blends the figurative dimension with a powerful chromatic and abstract exploration. The subject of the owl (or boreal owl), a recurring motif rich in symbolism in the artist's production, abandons here the warm earth tones to wear the elusive and magnetic colors of the transition between day and night.
The title "Twilight" perfectly reflects the liminal nature of this sculpture. Twilight is the moment of mystery, transition, and the awakening of nocturnal creatures. This piece captures exactly that moment of temporal suspension: the owl is not just an animal, but becomes the very spirit of advancing night, a work of art capable of infusing spaces with a sense of magnetic calm and absolute contemporary elegance.
Series "Unique Shapes": The work is part of an exclusive collection where every piece is unique. Although the form is constant, the chromatic “garment” is unrepeatable, the result of a specific study on glazes and fusion effects in firing.
Installation: On the back there is a pre-drilled hole for wall mounting, allowing the work to float above the surface as a suspended vision.
Certification: The piece is shipped in professional protective packaging, accompanied by the corresponding certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
The work, realized in ceramic, is part of a series where every piece is unique because it is ceramicized with different glazes and effects.
The Sicilian artist Federico Alibrio, born in 1995, is always seeking inspiration to grow through new experiences.
Graduated in Sculpture in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, he works in sculpture and painting. He has participated and continues to participate in high-profile cultural exhibitions and symposia, showing commitment and seriousness in tackling sculptural practice.
"Open-minded people find inspiration everywhere" is one of his philosophical approaches.
Reality itself is the greatest source of inspiration. His passions are: wildlife (sensitive to endangered species) and trees. His goal is to showcase the beauty of nature.
