Description from the seller
Laphroaig 15 Years – 46%, 700ml
Laphroaig 15 Years (70cl) is a distinctive Islay Single Malt that showcases Laphroaig's characteristic style in a refined manner. Fifteen years of maturation lend it additional depth and balance. The robust peat smoke for which the distillery is renowned is combined with soft fruit notes, subtle sweetness, and a rich influence from the wood. The familiar maritime house style is clearly present, yet here it reveals itself at its most elegant.
On the nose, soft peat smoke, honey, and dried fruits immediately come to the fore. These are followed by notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and a subtle salty sea breeze. The palate is full and rich, with layers of caramel, ripe apple, and citrus fruits. Laphroaig’s characteristic medicinal smoke remains present, yet is beautifully interwoven with sweet malt notes and warm spices. The finish is long and refined, with lingering smoke, oak, and a hint of sea salt.
