A gold bar produced by the casting process can be confidently handled, to weigh the high specific gravity of 99.99% pure gold in your hand, without fearing that you might damage the bar or affect it with fingerprints. Casting bars inherently have rounded edges and minor solidification lines. This makes every gold bar a unique piece.
