A pair of vintage clear art glass cards (lasikortti) / paperweights, designed by the celebrated Finnish ceramicist and glass artist Heljä Liukko-Sundström for Iittala, Finland.
These wedge-shaped glass blocks feature vibrant illustrations on the back that interact beautifully with the thick, clear crystal, creating a wonderful three-dimensional depth effect when catching the light.
The lot includes two iconic Finnish nature designs:
Left: "Katson maalaismaisemaa" (View Over the Countryside) – Depicting a bright yellow Nordic summer sun over a lush field of white wildflowers and evergreen trees.
Right: "Ruskametsä" / "Koivikko" (Autumn Birch Forest) – A stunning atmospheric depiction of iconic Finnish silver birch trees shedding colorful autumn leaves.
