Graphic monograph "Hundertfünfzig Einzelbilder des XV. Jahrhunderts" by art historian Paul Heitz, published in Strasbourg in 1918 by the publisher J. H. Ed. Heitz (Heitz & Mündel). The book is an exclusive, expertly compiled collection of 150 detailed graphic reproductions in the original size of the originals, charting early European graphic art of the 15th century (rare single-leaf prints, incunabula, sacred woodcuts, and metalcuts) preserved in major European libraries. Bibliographically, this is a strictly limited edition of only 500 numbered copies, with this specific specimen bearing the number 479.
This copy is completely issued in the highly valued format of loose sheets (en feuilles), which are loosely inserted into the original thick brown paper portfolio/cover featuring a motif of Saint Roch on the front. The loose sheets retain their original uncut and naturally deckled edges. In terms of preservation, the set is in very good and clean condition. The paper cover shows moderate period wear along the spine and at the corners, while all the inner loose sheets and the actual graphic plates are excellently preserved, crisp, and free of significant spots.
The book will be very carefully packaged and shipped promptly via a reliable international courier.
