Description from the seller
“Interference”
Maja Mrówczyńska / FORMA NIESFORNA
from the collection “Tuning”
“Interference” is an emotionally and formally mature painting, a hypnotic story about a relationship understood not as a romantic gesture, but as a fundamental experience of human existence. Maja Mrówczyńska builds a composition from interpenetrating forms that lose autonomy in favor of a shared rhythm. The two figures are not separate beings here. They become mutual tremor and a common frequency.
The artist operates with the language of contemporary figurative abstraction with exceptional emotional awareness. Geometric planes do not cool the message; on the contrary, they intensify it. Each intersection of lines recalls a moment of psychic resonance between people: tenderness, dependence, longing, safety, fear of loss. It is a composition that pulses with tension between individuality and complete merging with another person.
Most moving, however, is the fact that “Interference” does not present a specific story.
It triggers stories inscribed in the viewer.
That is why the painting works so powerfully as a collectible piece. It does not end with the form. It is a psychological experience—an artwork that continuously “works” with its owner, changing with their emotions and memory. It is art that cannot be consumed on the surface.
Color scheme—based on deep reds, saturated blues, and flesh-toned transitions—creates a visual record of emotional interference: the meeting of two energies that, once they meet, never remain the same. The composition is at once monumental and intimate. Sensual and intellectual. Delicate, yet absolutely defenseless in its honesty.
“Interference” is part of the author’s collection “Tuning,” a cycle of six works exploring the nature of bonds, shared feeling, and emotional co-existence.
Each copy of the painting exists in a strictly limited edition, only 15 collectible copies worldwide, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
