E. Zeno (1888-1956) - Campiello

Work by Eugenio Bonivento, better known by the pseudonym E. Zeno, born in Chioggia in 1880, died in Milan in 1956.
He studied in Venice, first at the academy and then as a pupil of Ciardi; he painted mainly Venice and the lagoon. His works are housed in the Modern Art Museums of Milan and Venice. The piece is an oil on canvas mounted on a wooden panel. It is in good condition, with a very small retouch at the top left. The frame is contemporary, showing a few small imperfections visible in the photos. The dimensions are 27 × 32 cm, with the frame 46 × 52 cm. The work is original, signed on the lower left, and comes from a private collection.
