Usain St. Leo Bolt (Sherwood Content, Trelawny, 21 August 1986) is a former sprinter from Jamaica. He is the current world record holder and Olympic champion in the 100 m, 200 m and the 4 x 100 metre relay. Moreover, Bolt, nicknamed The Lightning Bolt and Thunderbolt, with 19.93 seconds holds the world junior record in the 200 m and as a junior (under 20) was the only one to run this distance under 20 seconds. Bolt participated in the Olympics four times. He is also the first athlete to win both the 100 m and the 200 m at three consecutive Olympics (2008-2016). He also won the 4 x 100 m relay twice. On the list of the most successful Olympic gold medalists at the Summer Games, he ranks joint tenth after the 2016 edition. On 12 August 2017 he took part in his final race in the 4 x 100 m relay at the World Championships in London, where he pulled up with a hamstring injury in his left leg just as he was about to accelerate from third position.
