With chapters on the different cities and towns featured. Written by Albert Frederick Calvert, an English author, engineer, and explorer active in Australia. With colour plates from paintings by Arthur Trevor Haddon, a British painter and illustrator. Solid ex-library hardback bindings with gilt lettering to spine, library bookplate to front free endpaper of each volume and usual rubber stamps to many pages and plates on margins. Small restored tears to margin of a few pages in volume 2 at beginning. Generally clean interior with occasional light marks/soiling to a few pages- especially last pages of vol 1 on a corner. A few pages with a little wear from adhesion of pages-see photos. Overall very good condition. Scarce Heavy set.
