Two faces overlap like reflections of a single consciousness. One emerges into the light, the other remains in shadow, but both share the same breath. The red circle that envelops them is not just a shape: it is a boundary, protection, rite. The work speaks of duality, of the meeting between what we show and what we hide, between voice and silence. In the mosaic of time, the figure becomes the guardian of its inner space, where every fragment finds balance between fragility and power.
Luca Nina lives in Cesena, born on 07/02/1973, is a self-taught artist who has found in oil painting and mosaic his preferred expressive languages. During the pandemic period he began to paint with greater diligence, transforming a simple hobby into a creative path ever more conscious.
His search starts from curiosity: every work is for him an inner journey, an exploration that begins in the mind and translates into images in search of meaning to understand and share.
Luca mainly works on boards that he carves by hand, creating grooves and textures that become an integral part of the composition. In these engravings he nestles mosaic elements, blending oil painting and mosaic into a single work. This personal technique gives life to surfaces that are rich, tactile, and symbolic.
His aesthetics are influenced by Art Nouveau, a movement whose elegance of lines and decorative strength he loves. Among his main sources of inspiration are Alphonse Mucha and Gustav Klimt, artists who helped define his taste for harmony, ornamental rhythm, and visual storytelling.
He signs his works with the nickname “Naina,” which represents his artistic identity and his personal journey.
