Description from the seller

Love N Money is an original and unique pop graffiti work by French contemporary artist Priscilla Vettese / PVettese.

In this original pop street art piece sized 61 x 50 cm, Mr Monopoly appears in a scene of excessive abundance, surrounded by banknotes, a bottle of Dom Pérignon champagne and a sack full of dollars. The image deliberately plays with the codes of luxury, success and money, but in an almost overflowing, euphoric, unstable energy.

The character, drawn from collective imagination, embodies here at once play, wealth, power and a form of satire of the contemporary world. His smile, his movement and the accumulation of financial symbols create an apparently joyful scene, but deeper down it is more ambiguous: behind the party, the artist questions the desire for possession, the velocity of money, consumption and the illusion of happiness based on excess.

The background, worked in mixed media on canvas, blends bright colors, splashes, graphic signs, urban traces, instinctive handwriting and pictorial superpositions. It does not merely serve as a decoration: it reveals the emotional climate of the work. Around Mr Monopoly, the pictorial chaos gives the sensation of a saturated, noisy world where money circulates, flies away and invades space.

Love N Money fully fits Priscilla Vettese’s artistic approach: to confront popular, playful and instantly recognizable icons with a harsher, chaotic and contemporary universe. Through this encounter, the artist questions our relationship to success, luxury, power, abundance and the contradictions of a society fascinated by the image of success.
