Description from the seller
Original oil painting on canvas. Unique artwork. Canvas entirely hand-made. 60 x 60 cm. Signed by the artist. Certificate.
An entire room dressed in red, a wall lamp casting a soft glow. Seated at the edge of a bed with white sheets, a naked woman, black heels on her feet, holds the rotary phone handset to her ear. Smoke from her cigarette rises in curls as a mysterious conversation is hinted at. Glamour of 1950s pin-ups and intrigue of film noir converge in this intimate and theatrical scene, where the warmth of red dramatizes every detail. A sensual and enigmatic work, signature of Le Yack’s cinematic universe.
Delivery information: The canvas is shipped rolled without a frame, carefully protected, placed in a reinforced rigid tube. This shipping method guarantees optimal protection of the artwork during transport. The buyer may have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer according to their presentation preferences.
