Description from the seller
Twenty-something 2025 painted with mosaic, on a carved panel.
Being twenty, the world is not yet defined: it is a set of shining pieces, promises, roads that intertwine without a precise order.
The figure emerges from this mosaic as from a universe under construction: the gaze is young, but already aware; it carries with it the hunger for the future and the fragility of someone who is learning to know themselves.
The red that wraps the shoulders is a beat, a vital impulse, a call to the courage to expose oneself.
"Being twenty" is this: being in the middle of chaos and still feeling ready to shine.
Luca Nina lives in Cesena, born 07/02/1973, is a self-taught artist who has found in oil painting and mosaic his preferred expressive languages. During the pandemic period he began to paint with greater assiduity, transforming a simple hobby into a creative path increasingly conscious. His research is born from curiosity: each work is for him an inner journey, an exploration that starts from the mind and translates into images seeking a meaning to understand and share.
Luca primarily works on boards he incises manually, creating grooves and textures that become an integral part of the composition. In these engravings he inlays movable elements, blending oil painting and mosaic into a single work. This personal technique gives life to surfaces that are rich, tactile, and symbolic.
His aesthetics is influenced by Art Nouveau, a movement whose elegance of lines and decorative strength he loves. Among his main inspirations are Alphonse Mucha and Gustav Klimt, artists who helped define his taste for harmony, ornamental rhythm, and visual narration.
He signs his works with the nickname "Naina", which represents his artistic identity and his personal journey.
