Two decorative wall reliefs from Germany, dating to ca. 1900–1910, in carved wood with alabaster reliefs, in good used condition with small signs of aging and stains; each measures 14 cm high, 17 cm wide, 2.5 cm deep and together weigh 480 g.

Lot 1: Relief of the Holy Family (Rest on the Way to Egypt)
Frame: Black-lacquered wooden frame with gilded inner edge and decorative profiles.
Relief material: Cast work in light ivory-colored composition (possibly biscuit or plaster).
Oval relief with a fine, classically inspired representation of the Holy Family. Mary sits with the Christ Child on her lap, beside her Joseph. On the left a palm tree, on the right classical architecture (columns). The scene refers to the Rest on the Way to Egypt. Very detailed with a beautiful sense of depth and delicate facial features. In good condition.
Lot 2: Shepherd or peasant family with livestock
Frame: Gilded wooden frame with rich profile and pearl edge.
Relief material: Light pink/beige relief on marble- or alabaster-...
Rectangular relief with an idyllic rural scene. A family (man, wife, and child) with two oxen/cattle in front of a house with a mountain landscape in the background. On the right a figure with a staff, possibly a shepherd. The whole exudes a pastoral, 19th-century romantic atmosphere. Beautifully detailed with attention to architecture and landscape.
Both reliefs are decorative wall objects from the late 19th or early 20th century, probably of European (possibly German or Italian) origin. They form a lovely decorative pair.
